Witney marquee wedding party — Oxfordshire Bandeoke magic

Huw & Teia’s wedding party in Witney, Oxfordshire was the kind of night that reminds us why Bandeoke works so well in a marquee: big singalongs, brilliant photos, and a dancefloor that just kept getting fuller.

Set in the woods and parkland of a family friend, the clear-span marquee looked stunning — bright, airy, and absolutely made for a high-energy, guest-led show. And here’s the bit we love: the couple really listened to our staging advice. We set the performance area up with proper space and clear boundaries, so it was safe, comfortable, and gave groups room to jump on together (not just solos and duos). The result? Confident guests, better flow, and an atmosphere that built set by set.

They’d first seen us at a friend’s wedding (who was there on the night too), so the room already got it — people were up early, cheering each other on, and fully committing… especially once the fancy dress started appearing. Costumes always unlock the Bandeoke spirit: it’s amazing how quickly a shy crowd becomes a headline act with a bit of glitter and a wig.

A standout moment was the bride & groom’s first Bandeoke song — “American Boy” — where we prepped custom alternative lyrics so everything landed perfectly on our on-stage lyric screen. They also picked a couple of tunes from our Extras list (the ones we like to know about in advance), including a big-finisher duet: “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me” — with a surprise Elton section from Huw. Duets can be deceptively tricky, but this lot absolutely nailed it… and the marquee went off.

If you’re planning a marquee wedding in Oxfordshire, this is the blueprint: great staging, a supportive live band, and guests who leave thinking, “Wait… did we just do that?!” 👇🪄
