Our take: a tipi wedding that went off
Zehra & Stu’s wedding at Sherwood Glade, Nottingham had that perfect woodland-tipi energy — fairy lights overhead, a packed floor from the first chorus, and loads of guests already lining up to sing. (You can see it in the gallery: hands in the air, big grins, proper all-in vibes.)
The venue had a strict curfew around 10:30pm, so the couple planned a silent disco taking over afterwards, which we advise them on as part of our planning for them — we helped shape the ending to feel like a natural lift, not a hard stop. Instead of finishing the Bandeoke set and going straight to headphones, we rolled into a short disco run through our PA first, kept the momentum on the dancefloor, and then handed over to the silent disco while everyone was still buzzing. Smooth, organic, and it kept the night feeling “one continuous party”.
First dance was “It Must Be Love” by Madness — played by the band (no guest singers), straight into the celebrations. From there, it was full-tilt guest-led singing… and the couple were spot-on: there were more than enough singers to keep the Bandeoke Experience firing for the whole set.
