A repeat-client away day with a T-shaped stage and costume theme

We were delighted to bring The Bandeoke Experience back for Gate One Consulting, this time for their Corporate Away Day ’25 at Fairmont Windsor Park, Bishopsgate Road, Englefield Green, Egham, Surrey, TW20 0YL.

This was a brilliant example of how a strong theme can take Bandeoke to another level. Guests were invited to dress as their favourite singer icons, which added an extra layer of fun before anyone had even picked up the mic. With around 240 guests, a 5-piece Bandeoke show, and a late party finish through to 1am, it had all the ingredients for a big corporate celebration.

Fairmont Windsor Park is a favourite venue for us, and this event took place in the Ballroom. The client followed our guidance on stage size for an optimal Bandeoke setup, giving the band enough room to perform properly while still leaving space for guest singers to step into the spotlight.

The main stage was 7m wide by 4m deep, with a 1.5m wide by 4m deep extension creating a T-shaped runway. It was a slightly different format from a standard stage, but it worked really well for this event.

The runway-style stage gave guests the chance to move forward during their songs and really enjoy the performance moment. For Bandeoke, the practical challenge is always making sure singers can still see the lyrics clearly, so we worked with the client on a second screen positioned near the end of the T-shaped extension.

The client provided the extra screen and long HDMI cable, while our team brought the HDMI splitter and integrated the setup from the band position. It meant the singers could use the runway without losing the lyric support that keeps the show flowing.

Favourite singer costumes and big singalong moments

The favourite-singer-icon theme was a perfect match for Bandeoke. It encouraged guests to get involved, gave the night a strong visual identity, and made the performances feel even more like a proper show.

Amy Winehouse – Valerie
Queen – Don’t Stop Me Now
Spin Doctors – Two Princes

“Two Princes” was selected from our extras list, which means it was requested in advance so the band could revise it properly before the event.

Live Bandeoke followed by a client DJ finish

After the live Bandeoke show, the party continued with a client-led DJ finish through our sound and lighting setup until 1am. The client supplied the relevant DJ equipment and cables, and because this had all been agreed in advance, our team were able to facilitate the changeover smoothly.

For corporate events, this kind of hybrid format can work really well: live band karaoke as the big interactive centrepiece, followed by a DJ-style finish for guests who want to keep dancing.

This was a great example of corporate Bandeoke working as more than just evening entertainment. With the costume theme, large guest count, T-shaped stage, second lyrics screen and late party finish, the whole event became a shared performance experience.
