Sonya’s 50th bandeoke birthday, Farnham Common, Bucks

A super small pub space – it’s actually takes much longer to setup in a smaller space, and time spent thinking about how to design the setup in the space before you lift any gear, is worth it.

We blocked off the toilet door behind us, with our drum kit, as there was one at the other end of the pub.

We also wanted to be setup this end of the pub, importantly next to the bar – 95% of the time having the band/ show in the same room as the bar is the way to go for best results. If we setup at the other end, there would be danger that guests would hug the bar all night instead of getting involved.

We made use of the fixed benches for gear, and always have mats to cover cables for everyone’s safety as well as better aesthetic.

We are using our smallest PA rig for this party, just 2x high quality 10” tops, K10s by QSC, and 1x Yamaha DXR15 for the floor monitor, through which we also ran some bass for extra warmth as well as the bass backline.

Despite the small space, intimate party environments can often provide the best atmospheres.

End result, a fun gig and super happy client and guests, with a tip to boot. Always a nice reward for the extra attention to detail.

“…a massive Thank You for a great night…”

Just wanted to say a massive Thank You for a great night...the crowd really enjoyed it - I got great comments - and let’s face it, the most important person loved it … ME! 😆 - Thank you again.
